ROBERTSDALE, Ala. – Honorees were recognized at Baldwin REALTORS® annual awards luncheon on August 1, 2019, at the association’s office in Robertsdale.
Baldwin REALTORS 2018 award winners are as follows:
Rising Star – Malcolm Young
Baldwin’s Local Rock Star – Cindy Zebryk
Professional Affiliate Leader – Brenda Schmucker
REALTOR of the Year – Troy Wilson
Baldwin REALTORS’ Lifetime Achievement Award – Starke Irvine
“REALTORS are essential to a community and give back in many ways,” said Sheila Dodson, CEO of Baldwin REALTORS. “It’s always an honor to see those who go above and beyond to be recognized.”
The Rising Star award is given to a member with less than three years of experience as a REALTOR who has been actively involved in Baldwin REALTORS, contributing their time and energy in support of the association. Young is a REALTOR with Brett/Robinson Real Estate in Orange Beach.
Baldwin’s Local Rock Star is presented to a member with at least five years of experience as a REALTOR, who is actively involved with the association and demonstrates excellence and service. Zebryk is a REALTOR with Coldwell Banker Reehl Properties in Fairhope.
Schmucker, Baldwin REALTORS’ Professional Affiliate Leader, is a local mortgage lender with Trustmark Bank. She has been a member of Baldwin REALTORS for 20 years and has helped serve on several committees and the affiliate council.
Wilson, Baldwin REALTORS’ 2019 REALTOR of the Year, is the president of Bellator Real Estate and Development. He volunteers his time with local community organizations and businesses. Wilson has been a member of Baldwin REALTORS for almost 20 years, a member of leadership since 2015, including the president of the board of directors in 2018.
Wilson will now go to the state level where he will compete with other REALTORS of the Year from around the state to be named the 2019 REALTOR of the Year for the Alabama Association of REALTORS.
The Baldwin REALTORS Lifetime Achievement Award is presented to a REALTOR with at least 25 years of experience, with the last 10 or more years serving as an active member of Baldwin REALTORS. The winner of this award demonstrates board and committee involvement, leadership, outstanding vision, dedication and commitment to the association and REALTOR industry. Irvine is the broker/owner of Irvine Company. Irvine has been involved in governmental affairs at the local and state levels since the ‘70s and continues to be a regular at council meetings. He is a past Baldwin REALTORS president, past REALTOR of the Year and REALTOR Emeritus recipient, which is given to a REALTOR with over 40 years in business.
